Everybody Hurts (sometimes)

Everybody Hurts (sometimes)

Generally I am a positive person, I have learnt that ability to take on a situation, work it through and more often than not, it ends in a positive outcome. Many have said when they meet me “Are you really that positive all the time?

“No!” is my reply, “As life isn’t that simple.”

Humans are very adaptable to their situations and the unconscious mind will make sure you are kept as safe and well as possible.

However things happen and sometimes when you least expect them, the proverbial “curve ball” is thrown. The negative feelings attached to these then flood the system and your brain does its best to deal with it. Most of the time it does a good job, and you can learn and move on.

However, what about trauma? Violence? Abuse? Which can leave the mind reeling with so many unanswered questions as to “Why me?”

The words from the G4 song – “Everybody hurts” says this:

“When the day is long and the night is yours alone, When you’re sure you have had enough of this life – well hang on”

I am not saying one song will make it all better, but to hang on is vital to whatever you are facing, going through or dealing with. There will be people to support you and to rebuild any trust you may have lost. This will take time, but never give up….

This blog is not an advertisement for my coaching services, but to hopefully give some positive advice to those who feel they have to suffer in silence, please don’t. There are professionals that can let you be the person you want to be…

I wrote the above a few years ago and it is still relevant, this last year has for many been very difficult indeed, having your usual routines changed quite significantly, so if you are in a difficult place do seek support, it is not a weakness.
